Study Island Apps on Google Play

This platform is an invaluable tool as a supplement to in-class teaching and a way to reinforce learning. However, for older students, Study Island can quickly become boring, even when mixing up the modes featured in the program. While the repetitive nature of Study Island can turn some students off the system, this accurately represents standardized testing and prepares students in new and innovative ways.

To ensure that you can access all features on Study Island, click here for instructions on updating browser settings. Not only are there several thousand questions in the Study Island program, but each question constantly changes. Teachers can customize printable worksheets when a paper/pencil option is more appropriate for the learner.

Immediate feedback

Ace the test with formative assessments and standards-based reporting that won't leave you guessing. A browser-based program developed specifically for education, Study Island is a widely used tool designed to meet each state’s standardized test requirements individually. Since Study Island is available for use year round, families are encouraged to have students practice skills during school breaks and summer vacation. Curriculum accessed from GSN is used by schools and homeschools who maintain documents and are accountable to their local educational authorities. Study Island has detected that your browser is in Compatibility Mode or you are using an unsupported browser.

More than 600,000 standards-based items, including 12 technology-enhanced item types, are available in online practice sessions and printable worksheets. Marzano Research confirmed Study Island’s effectiveness—students who spent at least 30 minutes per week practicing online experienced significantly more growth outcomes than those who did not. Is a Web-based program designed to help students master state and grade-appropriate standards for grades 3-8. The user-friendly interface allows students to move through the program step-by-step.

Is Study Island right for your classroom?

The browser-based program can be accessed anywhere with an internet connection, making it a valuable tool for parents to use with their children at home and during free study time. Implementing Study Island in a structured lesson plan is an excellent way to reiterate key learning points and help to improve grades. As a resource, it can assist the students in expanding their learning and cementing their understanding of specific subject matter. All this and more makes Study Island the ideal option for teachers looking to improve the knowledge and scope of their students. This program is also valuable for receiving insight and feedback into students’ understanding and encouraging them to think more deeply about their answers. As a precursor to standardized testing, Study Island provides an environment that promotes learning through actions instead of passively listening.

Each section has a pre-test and a post-test, as well as topics that cover each of the Content Standards. Topics consist of questions, answers, explanations, and lessons that address the specific skills required in order to master the Content Standards. The Study Island North Dakota State Assessment Preparation Program is specifically designed to help students master the content specified in the Content Standards. Study Island's focus on the Content Standards enables students to improve their performance in all skill areas tested on the NDSA in grades 3 through 8. Study Island also offers Math and Reading Skills for Kindergarten through 2nd Grade, Fine Arts, Health, and Technology for Elementary and Middle School, and High School Algebra II Skills Mastery products. Students who use our standards-based formative assessment and practice program achieve higher math and reading assessment scores.

Mifflinburg Area School District

"Use it, or lose it" is a commonly used adage which explains why Study Island is so important. Study Island is an engaging tutorial and assessment program based upon the Arizona content standards for grades K-8 that will provide your children with needed academic stimulation. It provides Web-based instruction, practice, and instant feedback that will entertain and hold your child's interest. Although it is challenging in its academic content, Study Island is both fun and engaging and has been shown to improve academic skills and scores for all students. While Study Island is a useful in-lesson tool, it certainly isn’t limited to the classroom.

Should this low score be recorded, the program will reduce the questions included to build up knowledge from a foundation. Using this method, students can be ‘cycled down’ up to 3 skill levels below their current grade. For low-performance students, Study Island offers a way to slowly build up to the same level as their peers using skill-building and building blocks of knowledge to succeed. Study Island is best-suited for areas of the curriculum where standardized testing is frequent, such as math and science, though it can be applied as part of a more comprehensive lesson plan. Used as a supplemental tool – whether for homework, classwork, or an option for free study – Study Island can be an invaluable resource for educating students and reducing teachers’ workload. Thanks to the state-specific nature of the platform’s design, this program is just as accessible to students in every state without fear of contradiction for state-defined testing.

Download the Office 2013 installer Spiceworks

I hate Microsoft for this new ClickToRun installer! I can't find a normal MSI or image of Office 2013 online anywhere for OEM and Microsoft is acting stupid like they don't understand what I need. I already bought Office 2013 pre-installed on a Dell laptop, without knowing it was the ClickToRun version . It's so stupid that this is being forced on us and almost nobody is aware of this until it's too late. I wish Dell would have told me that they're including this ClickToRun version with the new system in the first place.

There was no other choice but to download a small 547KB installer. Launch OInstall again, choose Microsoft Office 2013, choose the x86 or x64 version, choose what software you want to install, and then click the Install Office button. If you download Microsoft Office 2013 from the above links, you will get a zip file. Unzip the file, and you will find an ISO file in the folder.

Way 1. Download Microsoft Office 2013 Online

We use a software package that adds an add in to Outlook that is critical to my business and that add in will not work with ClickToRun. I am so sick of MS trying to push everyone into the future. Through the above ways, you can get the Microsoft Office 2013 free download and installation. I was pretty hopeful of your link @DaleCrowder but unfortunately it's a click to run installer. Still better then downloading it each time, but doesn't help with Outlook add-ins that aren't C2R compatible. I don't have the account options section.

I don't understand Microsoft forcing 32-bit Office on 64-bit Windows. Thought I would add, Dell provided me with this link to download H&B2013 iso. I am having the same experience as -T- where the account options section doesn't exist. Tried in both IE and Chrome thinking it might be a browser issue.

New York Yankees Schedule New York Yankees

For the first time since mid-March, Yankees fans can look at the calendar and know that there is baseball scheduled for almost every day. All times are subject to change by Major League Baseball and can always end up being slightly behind schedule for a variety of reasons. The Yankees will certainly be a hot commodity for national networks hoping to flex Bronx Bombers' games into primetime slots, so stay tuned for that as the 2020 regular season progresses. Some teams, like the Phillies, saw their schedules get moderately more difficult based on interleague play and the absence of games against other NL divisions. Others, like the Cincinnati Reds and Minnesota Twins, saw their schedules get easier for the same reason. However, the Yankees’ schedule didn’t get appreciably harder or easier.

No matter what happens for the Yankees this season, they won’t be able to blame the schedule. The 60-games-in-67-days timeline is daunting, and certainly places a larger priority on each individual game. One ordinarily-regular blown save in the dog days or a flat getaway day performance could be the difference between making or missing the playoffs in just a 60-game season. It also places a higher importance on starting the season hot out of the gate. A slow start has less time than ever to course-correct, meaning an early division deficit could seriously threaten to torpedo a once-promising season.

Typically boring news is now cause for celebration. The MLB schedule is out, and the New York Yankees are officially slated to begin playing meaningful baseball on July 23. As long as the Yankees are over .500 after those first 20 games (which isn’t an unreasonable ask), that cupcake of a late-season schedule should be enough to wrap up another first-place AL East finish.

Los Angeles issues stay-home order as coronavirus surges PBS NewsHour

Going to an indoor bar or nightclub in Los Angeles County will soon require proof of COVID-19 vaccination, while attending a theme park or large outdoor event with 10,000 people or more will require vaccination or a negative COVID test. The number of those patients in intensive care also decline, from 445 to 433. As the coronavirus surges in the state, Californians celebrate Independence Day with virtual parades featuring air flyovers and photos of flag-draped front porches instead of pancake breakfasts and crowded festivities.

Although data show that hospital systems in Southern California remain strained, state officials said they projected those areas would exceed 15% available intensive care unit beds four weeks from now — meaning they meet the criteria to exit the order. Clow closed outdoor dining at his three locations for about a week when California issued the expanded stay-at-home order in December. It was a huge blow to staffers who depended on the restaurants for a steady paycheck and income from gratuities.

— will be lifted in a new health order that’s scheduled to be issued Friday. "Fitness facilities, including private gymnasiums, may open for outdoor operations only at 50 percent maximum outdoor capacity. The indoor portions of fitness facilities are closed to the public until further notice. Essential retail stores are capped at 35% of maximum occupancy, and nonessential retail, such as indoor malls, personal care services and libraries, at 20%. California health officials are urging the state's residents to stay home as much as possible because of a coronavirus surge taxing the state's hospitals. Supervisor Kathryn Barger also said she supported reopening outdoor dining, personal care services and other industries that were previously closed.

In those areas, indoor operations will remain suspended or severely limited at many businesses and other public facilities. Orange County has been a regular source of opposition to state coronavirus-related directives throughout the pandemic. Some restaurants have defied the order to shutter outdoor dining entirely, while others continued to serve patrons indoors. The number of Californians hospitalized with the coronavirus surged to a record high for a fourth straight day — soaring above 8,000 amid continued concerns that a sustained spike in patients may eventually swamp the state’s healthcare system. Additional closures of California businesses and activities will be based on projections of regional intensive care unit capacity. But hospitals are better equipped now than they were in the spring to handle a surge in cases, treatment for COVID-19 has significantly improved, and hospitals can cancel elective surgeries to make more room. Los Angeles County reported 1,730 new cases of COVID-19 and 94 additional deaths, while the number of coronavirus patients in county hospitals continued to trend downward. Los Angeles County health officials launched aone-day Twitter campaignThursday to remind residents of the toll of the coronavirus and pay tribute to those who lost their lives amid the pandemic.

Even with the dramatic social distancing the county is now seeing, officials forecast that up to 30% of residents could be infected by mid-summer without more behavioral changes, such as reducing shopping trips. As you probably remember, the initial stay at home order that was first enacted in the City of Los Angeles was meant to last until the end of March. Shortly after, the county itself passed an order that was set to last until April 19. In what will hopefully be the last extension, last Friday a new measure was passed that sets the end day to May 15.

Long COVID

Important insights and guidance were received from others, including personnel at the California Department of Public Health, as well as other modeling teams addressing the COVID-19 epidemic across the country. Gov. Gavin Newsom has announced a stay-at-home order affecting most of California. Parks and trails remain open, along with golf courses, tennis courts and beaches.

L.A. County public health officials on Saturday announced they will issue an order suspending outdoor dining at restaurants amid a surge of new coronavirus cases. Personal care services, such as hair and nail salons, can open for indoor operations at 25% capacity; tourism and individual travel is permitted at hotels and motels; and outdoor private gatherings of up to three households and a total of 15 people are now allowed. Los Angeles County health officials warned Friday that the region needs to significantly increase social distancing to slow the spread of the novel coronavirus and that stay-at-home restrictions could remain into the summer. The predictive analysis which models the impending surge provides a depiction of the best- and worst-case scenarios for Los Angeles should physical distancing efforts continue and to what degree. The model projects that if we reverted to pre-order physical distancing behavior now, by August 1, 95.6% of Los Angeles County residents will likely have been infected over the course of the pandemic. Under this worst-case scenario, Los Angeles County would face an infection rate at such magnitude that the healthcare system would not be able to treat patients who need hospitalization, underscoring the need to continue to maintain current levels of physical distancing.

The Board of Supervisors also issued their own statement in response to Ferrer's comments. "I do think recovery will be months long, based on the tools that we have at hand today," Ferrer said. Most broadly, the order bars gatherings of people from different households. Los Angeles County's dramatic rise in COVID-19 infections continues, with more than 3,200 new cases reported, along with seven more deaths and 60 new instances of the rapidly spreading Omicron variant.

California is expected to be hitting the peak of the pandemic right now, well under the expected numbers. This is obviously good, for it means the measures in place were able to keep people at home and protected. It might be frustrating for the government to keep moving the finish line and pushing the end of this quarantine. However, we need to understand that these measures have been in place with our best interests in mind. Officials are concerned that hospitals could see a shortage of beds — especially in intensive care units — over the next two to four weeks if these trends continue.

Newsom orders new limits on California businesses and activities as COVID-19 soars

County cities that already has an independent health agency, officials said businesses and organizations would again follow the restrictions and guidelines outlined in the purple tier. Los Angeles County will allow outdoor dining and ease some other restrictions on businesses, including salons. The region's ICU capacity was 13.1% because of the growing number of coronavirus cases, the California Department of Public Health announced Friday night. It was triggered when a region's intensive care unit availability dipped below 15%.

The order advises residents to stay home “as much as possible” and to wear a face covering when they go out. It bans people from gathering with people who aren’t in their households, whether publicly or privately. LOS ANGELES — Los Angeles County announced a new stay-home order Friday as coronavirus cases surge out of control in the nation’s most populous county.

Only those engaged in "essential activities" are allowed to lawfully leave their homes, such as all healthcare operations, including hospitals, clinics, dentists and pharmacies. There are still too many people becoming infected with the coronavirus in Los Angeles County, officials said. And there is more than a 50% chance that the current capacity of intensive care unit beds in Los Angeles County, roughly 750 beds now, could be exhausted by late April.

"If the healthcare system can't stay functional, you also will have a lot of increased mortality from other people who will die of other diseases and conditions as well," Ferrer said. "At the point we start seeing some serious significant declines in both the rate of new cases and the rate of deaths, we can talk about what's a reasonable way to particularly get people back to work." If the stay-at-home order was quickly rescinded and people resumed their normal habits, an astonishing 95.6% of L.A. County residents would be infected with the coronavirus by Aug. 1, according to projections released by the county.
